In a recent display of support for fellow athletes, popular influencer and boxer KSI has expressed his admiration for Oleksandr Usyk, labeling the unified world heavyweight champion as ‘the greatest of all time’ after Usyk’s impressive victory over Tyson Fury.

KSI, whose full name is Olajide Olayinka Williams “JJ” Olatunji, watched the highly anticipated rematch between Usyk and Fury alongside his fellow members of the YouTube group named Sidemen. The gathering included fellow YouTube personalities Ethan Payne, Simon Minter, and Tobi Brown, as well as their friend Callum McGinley. Prior to the boxing match, the group tuned in to witness Luke Littler’s record-setting performance in the PDC World Darts Championship.

While KSI is primarily recognized for his boxing, having faced Tommy Fury at Manchester Arena last October, in which he lost by unanimous decision, it was Usyk’s triumph that captivated his attention on this occasion.

After the fight, KSI posted a photo on his Instagram story capturing Usyk holding the WBC’s Rumble in the Jungle 50th Anniversary Commemorative belt, labeling the boxer ‘The GOAT’ and tagging Usyk in the post.

On X, formerly known as Twitter, KSI also reacted to The Ring’s AI-powered scorecard, which likened itself to a fourth judge in the match. The AI’s assessment indicated that Usyk was the deserving winner with a score of 118-112, featuring two 10-10 rounds, contrasting with the official scorecards that read 116-112 in favor of Usyk.

After the match, KSI humorously remarked that he believes the AI judge would have favored him in his fight against Tommy Fury. This match concluded with Fury winning 57-56 on all cards despite a controversial ruling of a majority decision at first.

Discussions regarding a possible rematch between KSI and Fury have circulated, although Fury recently announced a bout against UFC welterweight contender Darren Till scheduled for January 2025. However, this fight is now rumored to be canceled as Fury’s withdrawal has reignited the speculation of a potential rematch with KSI in the upcoming year.
