Man Shot in Chest by Teen in South Wichita

WICHITA, Kan, (KSNW) — A man is currently hospitalized following a shooting incident in South Wichita. Investigators responded to the call around 8:20 p.m. in the 3300 block of West All Hallows Ave.

The victim was shot in the chest by a handgun reportedly fired by a teenager. According to police reports, the individuals involved likely knew each other.

Initial investigations suggest the pair may have been wrestling in their home when the teen accidentally discharged the handgun.

The man is expected to recover from his injuries. As of now, there have been no arrests made, and the case has been forwarded for review by the district attorney.
