The Marvel Cinematic Universe has officially released the trailer for The Fantastic Four: First Steps, showcasing Julia Garner as the new Silver Surfer and giving fans a glimpse of supervillain Galactus.
The trailer opens in a futuristic setting on an alternate Earth before shifting to the central MCU universe. A TV host is seen explaining the origins of the Fantastic Four, stating, ‘Four brave astronauts head up into space and come back forever changed.’ He expresses gratitude and introduces the heroes to an excited crowd.
Susan Storm, played by Vanessa Kirby, and Reed Richards, portrayed by Pedro Pascal, find themselves late for dinner with Johnny Blaze and the Thing, played by Joseph Quinn and Ebon Moss-Bachrach, respectively. The couple surprises their friends by announcing they are expecting a baby. Chaos ensues when a red storm appears, signaling the arrival of the Silver Surfer, who warns them that their planet is marked for destruction.
