
Multiple Fires Burn in Los Angeles County
A fast-moving wildfire, dubbed the Kennith Fire, erupted Thursday afternoon near West Hills, California, prompting immediate evacuation orders.
The blaze was reported at approximately 2:30 p.m. in a region characterized by dry brush within the Upper Las Virgenes Canyon Open Space Preserve.
Evacuation Orders and Warnings
Local authorities from the Los Angeles Fire Department issued a mandatory evacuation order for residents living between Vanowen Street south to Burbank Boulevard, and County Lane Road east to East Valley Circle Boulevard.
Additionally, an evacuation warning was placed on surrounding neighborhoods, extending from Ingomar and Saticoy Streets south to Burbank Boulevard and from Valley Circle Boulevard east to Woodlake Avenue.
Citizens reported seeing significant smoke billowing across the 101 Freeway, raising both alarm and concern over the rapidly expanding fire.
