Bryce James Commits to University of Arizona: A New Chapter for LeBron’s Youngest Son

Bryce James, the youngest son of NBA superstar LeBron James, has made a pivotal choice in his basketball journey by committing to the University of Arizona for the Class of 2025. The four-star prospect shared his decision through an Instagram post, proudly donning an Arizona basketball jersey alongside head coach Tommy Lloyd.

Choosing Arizona over notable competitors such as the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Duquesne Dukes, schools he had visited informally since last year, Bryce’s commitment marks a milestone in his athletic career. He has previously showcased his skills at Sierra Canyon and participated in the Nike EYBL circuit through the Strive for Greatness program.

In June 2024, Bryce received an invitation to train at the USA Basketball U-17 camp, although he was not part of the team that triumphed at the FIBA U-17 World Cup held in Turkey. With a birthday approaching in June 2025, Bryce will officially step onto the college basketball scene.

Fil Johnsons of Former NBA Players Set to Join NCAA in 2025

Bryce James will not be alone in the NCAA landscape as several notable sons of former NBA players are set to debut in 2025. Kiyan Anthony, the son of Carmelo Anthony, will also enter the field. Meanwhile, twins Cameron and Cayden Boozer, sons of Carlos Boozer, along with Jermaine O’Neal Jr., the son of former Indiana Pacers center Jermaine O’Neal, are also preparing for their collegiate chapters.

The Boozer twins have pledged their futures to Duke University, the institution their father attended. In a similar vein, Kiyan Anthony has selected the Syracuse Orange, honoring his father’s legacy despite receiving offers from top programs such as Indiana, Michigan, and Florida State.

Conversely, O’Neal Jr. is taking a different path, as his father was among the last players to transition directly from high school to the NBA. The six-time All-Star’s son will kick off his college basketball career at Southern Methodist University.
