Hudson Meek, a promising young actor known for his role in ‘Baby Driver,’ tragically passed away on December 21 after suffering fatal injuries from a fall from a moving car in his hometown of Vestavia Hills, Alabama.

The Jefferson County coroner’s office reported that the incident occurred on December 19, when the 16-year-old actor fell onto the road, sustaining severe blunt force trauma. Following the accident, he was taken to the University of Alabama at Birmingham Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries just two days later.

Meek’s family shared a heartfelt tribute on Instagram, stating, ‘Our hearts are broken to share that Hudson Meek went home to be with Jesus tonight.’ In their message, they reflected on the short but impactful life he had lived, saying, ‘His 16 years on this earth were far too short, but he accomplished so much and significantly impacted everyone he met.’

Known for his role as the younger version of Ansel Elgort’s character in the critically acclaimed film ‘Baby Driver,’ Meek also voiced a lead character in the children’s series ‘Badanamu Stories’ and appeared in various television shows, including ‘Legacies’ and ‘Found.’

His obituary describes Meek as a ‘reflective and thoughtful’ traveler and a nature enthusiast. He enjoyed activities such as snow skiing, wakeboarding, and tubing at the lake.

Currently, the Vestavia Hills Police Department is investigating the circumstances surrounding Meek’s tragic death, but details remain sparse.
