After representing Canada in the para-triathlon, Taylor found herself in an unexpected dilemma while working at her desk. Zola decided to keep Taylor’s wheelchair warm, but unfortunately, Taylor had forgotten to engage the brakes. The curiosity-driven cat rolled the wheelchair away, leaving Taylor stranded.

“It was humbling to have such recent success in sport, to then be one-upped by a cat,” Taylor said in an interview.

“I thought it was funny, so I started recording. All of a sudden, Zola jumped off my chair, and it rolled even further away,” Taylor explained. Despite some initial regret in hindsight, she was able to laugh at the situation.

Fortunately, Taylor’s husband was home and came to her rescue after hearing her call for help. “If he wasn’t home, I would have had to boot-scoot and boogy over to my wheelchair,” Taylor humorously noted.
