Ford’s New Employee Pricing Initiative
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Ford Motor Company has announced a groundbreaking initiative aimed at providing employee pricing to all U.S. customers. Ford Director Rob Kaffl stated, ‘I’m proud to announce a new U.S. initiative that’s more than just a promotion – it’s a handshake deal with every American.’ The initiative, dubbed ‘From America, For America’, allows consumers to pay the same prices that Ford employees pay. This program begins on April 3, 2025, and applies to a wide range of 2024 and 2025 gas, hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and diesel Ford and Lincoln vehicles.
Kaffl continued, ‘We understand that these are uncertain times for many Americans. We want to help.’ However, this offer excludes specialty models such as Raptors, certain Mustang and Bronco vehicles, the 2025 Expedition and Navigator SUVs, and Super Duty trucks. Customers interested in electric vehicles will also benefit from the Ford Power Promise, which includes complimentary home charger installation for EV buyers.
Significant SUV Recalls Announced
In addition to the pricing initiative, Ford is recalling more than 138,000 of its SUVs, specifically the Ford Escape, Expedition, Bronco Sport, and Lincoln Navigator, due to serious mechanical issues. The recalls affect model years ranging from 2018 to 2023, with the potential for various malfunctions that must be assessed and repaired by dealers at no cost to the vehicle owners.
Seat Belt Issues Prompt Recall
One of the recalls involves approximately 105,322 SUVs being recalled for seat belt issues. The affected models include the 2018-2020 Ford Expedition and Lincoln Navigator. These vehicles may experience seat belts that lock in place, preventing them from retracting or extending properly.
Faulty Repairs Lead to Additional Recall
Moreover, over 33,000 Ford vehicles are being recalled for faulty repairs related to previous recall issues. The affected models include 2020 to 2022 Ford Escape and 2021 to 2023 Bronco Sport vehicles. The issue arises from a potential fuel injector crack that could lead to fuel leaks inside the engine compartment. These repairs are necessary to ensure vehicle safety.
Conclusion
With these significant initiatives and recalls, Ford aims to support customers while addressing safety concerns in its vehicle line-up. Consumers are encouraged to take action as soon as possible to benefit from the employee pricing initiative and ensure their vehicles are safe.
