Tornado Alerts Across Arkansas, Ohio, and Kentucky

Jonesboro, AR — (JonesboroRightNow.com) — March 30, 2025 — The National Weather Service (NWS) has placed parts of Craighead County under a tornado warning during the evening hours.

Update at 7:47 PM: The NWS has allowed the tornado warning for parts of Craighead County to expire. However, a tornado watch remains in effect until 11 PM.

7:09 PM Update: A tornado warning was initially issued for parts of Craighead County, effective until 7:45 PM.

Locations impacted by the warning include Crowley’s Ridge State Park, Lake City, Valley View, Egypt, Craighead Forest Park, Jonesboro, and Caraway. The NWS indicated the potential for two-inch hail during these storms.

A severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Strawberry, approximately 11 miles southwest of Lake Charles State Park around 6:28 PM.

Another severe thunderstorm was detected over Bono, moving east at a speed of 40 mph as of 7:06 PM.

The NWS cautioned residents saying, ‘Heavy rainfall may hide this tornado. Do not wait to see or hear the tornado. TAKE COVER NOW.’

It is advised to take shelter in the most secure area of your home, preferably on the lowest level or the most interior room.
